Oettingen TLS GmbH is a globally operating technical translation company for industrial customers.

Under the name of Oettingen GmbH, we have provided technical translation services for 40 years with a team of approximately 25 full-time employees and a network of more than 50 native-speaking translators around the world. We are now continuing this service and moving forward under the new organization of Oettingen TLS GmbH.

As Oettingen GmbH, we gained more than 40 years of experience in translation and interpreting, and as Oettingen TLS GmbH, we continue to rely on a proven and professional network of specialized technical translators to ensure the highest quality results. Since the mid-1990s, we have been using CAT tools at Oettingen GmbH to optimize translation workflows and minimize translation effort. These tools also form the foundation of our work at Oettingen TLS GmbH. Quality assurance and production management are based on the European standard DIN EN ISO 17100 for translation services (DIN CERTCO Reg. No. 7U552).

The easiest way to receive an offer is to send us overwritable files (plain text or open layout files) which we will then analyze with our CAT tools to determine the required translation amount. 100% matches as well as repeated texts are recognized and will not be considered for the invoice. Should you only have PDF files, the calculation will be based on the plain text of the PDF file. If you wish to receive the PDF in layout, additional cost may arise.

According to our company policy, the customer will be considered as owner of the provided text and therefore will also get free access to the database.

We can work in the most common DTP programs (Framemaker, Quicksilver, Indesign, Illustrator, QuarkXPress, Corel Ventura, others on request) as well as in all Office applications.

We provide quotations for each project and compare the text to be translated with the contents of the database. Thanks to the database, there will be considerable cost savings after a short period of time especially for big manuals, which we will pass on to our customers.
